Welcome to the A-Island Project

A research project about using online roleplaying groups (called A-Island groups) to improve well-being in autistic young people.

About Us

We are a team of psychologists and researchers from University College London and the University of Bath.

In collaboration with autistic young people and adults, we co-developed new online well-being groups for autistic young people (aged 11-16). These 'A-Island groups' aim to improve autistic young people's well-being by increasing knowledge about autism and exploring their autistic identity through a role-playing game.

We are currently inviting autistic 11-16 year-olds in England and Wales to take part.

You can find out more about the project by selecting the "Our Research Study" button at the top of the page, or by contacting us on the "Contact Us" page.

If you are interested in taking part, please complete this survey.
